FRANK SAVAGE is Author of the critically acclaimed new book, The Savage Way: Successfully Navigating the Waves of Business and Life. He is a highly accomplished Global Wall Street Financier with a distinguished career in international banking, corporate finance, and global investment management. He is Chairman Emeritus of Alliance Capital Management International, a division of Alliance Capital Management, a $700 billion asset management subsidiary of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and the current CEO of Savage Holdings, a global financial services company. He began his career serving the Middle East and Africa for the International Division of Citigroup. Mr. Savage is also Chairman Emeritus of the The John Hopkins University SAIS Advisory Board and serves on the boards of several corporations and nonprofit organizations, including Bloomberg LP and the New York Academy of Medicine, having previously served on the boards of Lockheed Martin, Qualcomm, and the New York Philharmonic. As the former Chairman of Howard University, he is credited with spearheading the most widely successful Campaign for Howard.
Mr. Savage earned a BA from Howard University and an MA from The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Hofstra University and an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Howard University. A highly skilled world class Yachtsman, Mr. Savage earned the prestigious Lord Nelson Trophy as the overall winner of the 2003 Antigua Race Week Regatta, the premier sailing event in the Caribbean.
